KT Auleta started out working as an assistant art editor at Interview magazine in NY. Some years later, in Paris, she dropped her own photo portfolio off at Self Service magazine and was promptly assigned the 20-page story that became her first full fashion editorial.
Auleta's photo career took off.
Her editorial work has appeared in Vogue Italia, Vogue US, i-D Magazine, V Magazine, Self Service, Dazed and Confused and Elle to name but a few. Her advertising clients include Louis Vuitton, Chloe, Swarovski, Opening Ceremony, H&M, Uniqlo, Phillip Lim and Jason Wu.
She has shot portraits of Chloe Sevigny, Ashley Olsen, Dree Hemingway, Michelle Williams, Christina Ricci, Margherita Missoni, Sienna Miller, Bradley Cooper, Lauren Hutton, Elijah Wood and Selma Blair.
Established in stills, KT then returned to the first moving image script she had written; a sketch of her life as a teenager blended with fictional stories of a promiscuous girl who accidentally falls in love. The script became the short film Runaround.
KT subsequently began to unite her two worlds, making short fashion films. She has shot for Louis Vuitton, Nowness, Vogue Italia and Twin.
Auleta is currently in development on her first full-length feature.
