After graduating from Wimbledon School Of Art in 2000 Phil's passion for film, art and music soon led him to the doors of award winning design agency Blue Source where he began writing ideas for music videos whilst working in the production team.
Phil joined forces with Olly Williams in 2005 to form Diamond Dogs, and the duo have since directed videos for The Hoosiers, Maximo Park, The Enemy, Robbie Williams and Magnetic Man amongst others. In September 2008 their first short film “The Black Hole” was named Grand Prize Winner in the inaugural Virgin Media Short Film Competition. The film was described as “beautifully crafted” and exhibiting “perfect story-telling” by the prestigious judging panel which included Kevin Spacey & Sir Richard Branson. They have shot their new short film Archaeology, funded in association with Virgin Media and UK Film Council.
Phil continues to work as a filmmaker, editor and designer in his own right. He has collaborated with Richard Ashcroft for The Verve’s “Rather Be” and directed “Sing When You’re In Love“ for The Enemy and "Anticipation" for Skream. He has also worked alongside Rankin on Macallan's 'Masters Of Photography' exhibition and created a series promotional films for Kailis Jewellery.
