Vincent Pianina & Lorenzo Papace are HSI’s newest exciting signing. Recently garnering critical acclaim for their enchanting papercraft stop-frame ‘Østersøen’ music video, the French duo come steeped in quirky Gallic charm. With established careers in children’s illustration (Vincent) and music composition (Lorenzo – founder of the band ‘Ödland’), they have a unique, eclectic portfolio of work ranging from animated promos to short films to cinematic mash-ups, installations & store fronts.
Hand-crafted, witty & irreverent, their work has a kind of retro-modern surrealist quality. They count among their influences 19th century romanticism, Lewis Caroll, European folklore, science, maps, historical prints, zoology and encyclopaedias.
